ONRAD Purchases Carestream’s Vue PACS, Vue Reporting and Vue Motion Image Viewer to Enhance Delivery of Radiology Services

New Technology Will Enable ONRAD Radiologists to Elevate Clinical and Service Support to Hospitals; Companies to Pursue Joint Marketing Initiatives

 November 15, 2013 – ROCHESTER, N.Y.

ONRAD, Inc., a full service radiology services provider headquartered in Riverside, Calif., has purchased Carestream’s Vue PACS, Vue Reporting and Vue Motion—a zero-footprint, vendor-neutral image viewer—which will enhance ONRAD’s ability to support a wide range of range of healthcare organizations.

ONRAD provides on-site radiology support, sub-specialty interpretations, after-hours teleradiology and RIS+PACS support, as well final and preliminary radiology reports. The company is a leading provider of around-the-clock radiology services at U.S. hospitals due to its expertise in delivering high-quality radiology interpretations to referrers and patients.

In addition, ONRAD and Carestream have established a strategic relationship to pursue joint marketing programs to support the needs of both company’s clients. This combined effort will not only showcase the productivity and efficiency improvements achievable with Carestream’s healthcare IT systems, but will highlight ONRAD’s ability to support a broad range of radiology service solutions as well.

The advantages of ONRAD’s teleradiology solution utilizing Carestream’s Vue PACS, Vue Reporting and Vue Motion technology are significant, as the traditional way of offering off-site radiology services to healthcare providers requires  significant integration costs and resources. Carestream is demonstrating at RSNA (as a work in progress) an innovative teleradiology module for its Vue PACS that will give remote radiologists access to prior exams and automatically send radiology reports to the requesting facility—all without requiring significant investment by healthcare facilities or radiology groups.

“ONRAD is excited about the new Carestream relationship. We believe this creates significant benefits, clinical as well as operational, to both our physicians as well as our diverse range of clients,” commented David Willcutts, CEO of ONRAD.
